My daughter Brenda aged 5 started learning from Teacher May only in end 2017 and barely one month to the training, she was able to go for competition and did very well. Teacher May applied good singing techniques in teaching Brenda and my daughter was able to learn her songs fast and able to deliver a good performance after a few practises with the teacher and at home. Although Teacher May is not Chinese, she was able to teach Brenda Mandarin songs. Many people thought that it was very impressive for my daughter to deliver the Chinese song with such precision. Her pronunciation was clear and she able to patiently teach Brenda this difficult language when my daughter barely recognises any of the Chinese characters. Teacher May was also able to choose the correct songs for my daughter's voice range and hence made it seem effortless to achieve a beautiful performance. I cannot emphasise how important Teacher May was in making us believe in our child's singing abilities and more importantly in making Anushka believe in herself. During Anushka's primary 6 year, we sought out some help to help her prepare for the SOTA DSA application. We were blessed to be referred to teacher May.
